(continued) …those who view it know Mr. White well enough to infer the tone and humor as they’re intended. Everyone knows Mr. White loves his precious kiddies, right? Good. And everyone knows one of Mr. White’s enduring frustrations in the classroom is the student who, when presented with tremendous opportunity and resources to learn, refuses to even muster up a hint of effort. Someday I really ought to create a cartoon or poem in tribute to all those who honor the spirit of learning and fulfill their potential. (Okay, that’ll be part of my five year plan.) Meanwhile, in the tradition of the animated glimpses into my Bonnabel and West Jefferson classrooms, I set my satirical sites on the slackers. Yes sirree, today I once again salute and celebrate the S.L.O.T.H.S.
